Those are all the characters you can get. Oyajitchi is a secrect character, and Ojitchi and Otokitchi and seiniors. Basically the better you take care of them, the highest character you'll get.
Her are the different generation groups."Odd" is the first, third, fifth etc. "Even" is second, fourth, sixth etc. "Any" ones you can get every time.
Connecting
Connect your tamagotchis by selecting the heart icon on the screen. You can select 'game' or 'present'. Line up the tops of the tamagotchi's, and press the middle button to connect.
